New Weight-Loss Pills Are Coming to Major UK Pharmacies — Here’s Where

A daily weight-loss pill is preparing to reach major British pharmacies after becoming the first oral GLP-1 medicine approved in the UK specifically for obesity and weight management. The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency authorised the Wegovy tablet on June 11, 2026.

Boots, Morrisons and Superdrug are among the best-known providers expected to offer it privately, giving eligible adults an alternative to weekly injections. However, approval does not mean unrestricted over-the-counter sales, and availability, pricing and medical assessment remain important parts of the launch.
