Lloyds Bank issues became a major headache for customers after users of Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland reported problems accessing banking apps and online services on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. The disruption affected brands within Lloyds Banking Group, with customers saying they could not log in, check accounts, make digital payments, or complete card-related transactions during the outage.

The problem was not just a minor app inconvenience. Reports on Downdetector rose sharply from around 11am, with the Standard reporting almost 5,000 complaints at the peak around 12.30pm, while Lloyds and Halifax apologised publicly and said they were working to fix the issue.
