A “Godzilla El Niño” warning sounds dramatic, but the underlying risk is real: a powerful El Niño can disrupt weather patterns across major food-producing regions, damaging harvests and tightening global supply. For UK shoppers, the concern is not that every supermarket aisle will suddenly empty overnight.
