Households across parts of England have been warned to take the heat seriously as temperatures rise and health alerts remain in place until 8pm on Monday, June 22. The most repeated advice is focused on the hottest and strongest-sun period of the day: 11am to 3pm.
The official guidance is more precise than simply “do not go outside.” UKHSA advises people to avoid direct sunlight during those hours, seek shade if they must go out, keep homes cool, drink fluids, and check on vulnerable people as heat builds through the weekend.
