UK Wildfire Risk Map: Areas Most at Risk as Major Incident Is Declared

A dangerous combination of prolonged heat, limited rainfall and dry vegetation is changing the fire threat across large parts of the country. The risk is expected to evolve quickly as the week progresses.

The forecast does not mean fires will automatically break out everywhere highlighted. It shows where any ignition could become particularly severe, making regional conditions and human behaviour equally important.
