Some men are not “bad people,” but they are not ready for dating in any meaningful way. They may enjoy attention, chemistry, companionship, or the idea of being wanted, while still lacking the emotional skills required to build something stable with another person.
A serious relationship needs more than attraction. It needs communication, self-awareness, emotional availability, boundaries, repair after conflict, and the ability to consider someone else’s needs without feeling trapped by them. When those basics are missing, dating can become confusing, draining, or unfair for the person on the other side.
