Four million dollars sounds like the price of a private aircraft, a waterfront mansion or an entire football club in a lower league. At the 2026 FIFA World Cup, it bought access to the final on a level unavailable through an ordinary stadium ticket.
The headline price is slightly misleading: this was not one seat sold by FIFA for $4 million. It was a six-person package offered by luxury concierge company Knightsbridge Circle for the July 19 final at New York/New Jersey Stadium, commonly known as MetLife Stadium.
